Show recently employed by United Air Lines as a co-pilot on one of their large planes. He left recently to make his home in Los Angeles, Calif., after completing a course of study in Denver and passing examinations ex-aminations for his new work. A number of Springville relatives rela-tives were in Salt Lake City Monday Mon-day evening to attend the wedding reception for Miss Connie Jane Hoyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hoyle, and Grant R. Clay-burn Clay-burn of Salt Lake. Attending from Springville were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown and families, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Child of this city, Mrs. Arthur Case of Provo, formerly of Springville, and Mrs. Editha Cunningham of Provo spent the week end in Las Vegas, Nov., where they attended the wedding of Mrs. Case's daughter and Mrs. Child's sister, LaVern Case and Fred Cunningham. The ceremony took place at the Last Frontier hotel and following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served. The couple left shortly after af-ter on a trip to California and Catalina. Other members of the party returned home by way of Bryces' and Zion canyons. ' Mrs. Alice Wilmott had as her guests the past week, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Pickett and Bishop and Mrs. Stanley Pickett and three children, all of Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Whiting and children, David and Patricia, have returned from Spokane, Wash., where they went to attend the wedding of Mrs. Whiting's sister, the former Jeannette Gray Cran-mer Cran-mer and Cleve Turner. The marriage mar-riage too,k place on June 7, and later the couple left on a wedding trip to Yosemite National Park and to Palo Alto, Calif. The bride has been teaching in the College of Education at Cheney, Wash., and Mr. Turner is a biology instructor. in-structor. ' Mrs. Ted Blanchard and daughter, daugh-ter, Cc-lleeri, came from Victor, Idaho to attend the graduation of their son and brother Blaine Bear-dall, Bear-dall, from Westminster College June 1. They spent a few days in Springville and visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hutchings. Miss Vera Wilmott has gone to Salt Lake City where she will spend the next six weeks at the LDS Business College. A graduate of the Springville high school, Miss Wilmott is a daughter of Mrs. Alice Wilmott and the late Fred Wilmott of this city.
