Show j Mutual Officers Enjoy Outing At Mapleton Home An enjoyable social of the early summer season was held Saturday evening in the beautiful garden at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Glenn Holley at Mapleton when MIA Stake Board members and their partners were entertained. Supt. Holley was in charge of arrangements. arrange-ments. The party was in the form of a farewell or testimonial for some of the board members, as it was the last time the two boards will meet socially, since the new officers will soon take over in some of the positions. In recognition of the many years of service given by the YMMIA officers, the YMMIA Board presented pre-sented them with service pins and tokens of appreciation and friendship. friend-ship. Mrs. Rea Straw, retiring president of YWMIA has served 12 years; Mrs. Bertha Johnson, counselor, and Miss Clara Harmer, secretary, received 10-year pins; Mrs. Maude Nielson, attendance secretary, has served 20 years, and Mrs. Melva Smith, retiring counselor, coun-selor, has served five years. Presentation Pre-sentation of service pins for various va-rious periods of MIA work was initiated a short time ago. The party also honored two counselors to Supt. Holley, Del-moine Del-moine Christensen and Gerald Boyev. The evening was spent visiting, following a delicious hamburger supper served around the outdoor fireplace. |
