Show Miss Dorothy May Groesbeck Is Wed lo Glen W. Garrett in Temple Rites IYetty Miss Dorothy May Groesbeck became the bride of Glen W. Garrett in a ceremony performed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 4. Albert E. Bowen f thP Council of Twelve Apostles , . officiated. After the wedding rites members mem-bers of the two families were entertained en-tertained at a wedding breakfast 8t Starlite Gardens. Hotel Utah. In the evening a reception honored the couple in the Third-Ninth Third-Ninth ward chapel, which was beautifully decorated for the oc-' oc-' casion with early summer flowers and tall tapers. The bride greeted her guests in a wedding gown of Chantilly lace fashioned with a ruffled portrait neckline and short sleeves. An over-skirt tapered from the waist to form a train. Matching lace mitts and finger-tip veil held to a cap studded with soe-pearls and rhinestones completed the ensemble. en-semble. She carried a bridal bouquet of white roses centered With an orchid or-chid and surrounded with steph-anotis. steph-anotis. Miss Janet Groesbeck attended her sister as maid of honor and Miss Janice Garrett, Miss Dorothy Cranmor. Miss Jane Huntington and Mrs. Marcella Tuttle were bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns of dotted swiss in shades of orchid and yellow and held matching bouquets., Bob Heath was best man. In the receiving line also were parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. W. Berton Groesbeck and Mr. and Mrs. L. Glen Garrett of Kaysville. Mrs. Groesbeck chose a rose formal for her daughter's wedding, and Mrs. Garrett, green Their corsages were of roses and tiger orchids. Music during the reception was furnished by the Misses Elaine Jessee, Dorothy Clark and Jane Harrison. In the gift room were the bride's aunts, Misses Bess and May Fin-ley Fin-ley and Miss Shirley Allen. Refreshments were served by Norma Roylance, Kathleen Childs, Marilyn Moon, Marilyn Roylance, Mary Palfreyman and Shirley Russell. Acting as hostesses were Mrs. E. T. Crandall, Mrs. Glen W. Sum-sion Sum-sion and Mrs.' Glen Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Russetl Groesbeck of Salt Lake City .and Mr. and Mrs" Arthur Finley greeted the guests. In charge of the guest book were Mrs. Nida M. Childs and Mrs. Jane C. Norton. Shortly after their reception the newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Bryces, Zions and Grand Canyons. Can-yons. They are making their home in the Capitol Apartments, Salt Lake City. For her going away attire the bride chose a smart navy blue suit with red accessories. |
