Show Projects Keep Lions Busy Meeting Scheduled Tonight i Work is progresing nicely on the Springville Lions project of building rest rooms at Kelly's Grove, according to announcement made by Marvin Warren, president. presi-dent. On Saturday the foundation was poured and it is hoped to have the rooms completed this month. Saturday's crew working on the project included: A. H. Mortensen, Jack Curtis, Charles Porter, Cornell Cor-nell Jessee and Marvin Warren. The Lions have also taken over a project of supplying new cooking cook-ing units for the fine fireplace which they constructed at the Grove last year. The units are being cast and will soon be placed ready for use. . Lion Meet Tonight The Lions will conduct their regular reg-ular meeting this evening at 7:30 p.m., at Kapp's with the United Nations committee, composed of Grant Packard, chairman; Mark Whiting, Cornell Jessee, in charge. They have secured Attorney I. E. Brockbank of Provo as the speaker and will discuss his observations ob-servations of world problems and situations made during a recent trip around the world. Mrs. Glenn Hansen will give musical numbers. num-bers. ' Plans New Home No sooner will the Lions complete com-plete their present project than they plan to jump wholeheartedly into another and larger one. At a meeting of the board of direct ors, it was decided to build a home and sell it as a fund raising project pro-ject and tentative plans for this project are now in the making, President Warren said. Complete details of the project and committees in charge will be announced at a later date. l |
