Springville City Tax Levy Set At 22 Mills; No Increase The Springville city tax levy of 22 mills was set at the meeting of the council coun-cil Monday evening. The levy was based on the assessed valuation of $3,528,000 which is an increase of some $200,000 over the assessed valuation of last yearThe levy is divided as follows: general gen-eral or contigent fund, 4 mills; waterworks, water-works, 1.6 mills; parks, 2 mills; public building and memorials 1.4 ; public safety safe-ty 5 mills; streets, 5 mills; sewer 2 mills and library 1 mill. The division of mills for the various var-ious departments was practically the same as last year writh exception of the public buildings and memorials to which an additional mill wTas added. The extra mill was gained due to the elimination of a mill for the airport.
