Show $ : ; Mrs. Mildred Ream Candidate For County Recorder Mrs. Mildred Evans Ream, this week announces her candidacy for re-election to the office of County Recorder on the Republican Ticket, Tick-et, the position she has held since Mrs. Mildred Ream 1947. In seeking the nomination, Mrs. Ream stated that she feels that her experience and her service to the public justifies her seeking the office for another term. The volume of business in the Recorder's Office in Utah County is the second largest in the State and requires contact with all classes class-es of people. The increase is even greater this year. To date there has been 1156 more documents recorded than last year at this time: there are 3379 this year; 2223, last year. The type of service rendered has been given with the idea of giving the most people the best possible service at the lowest possible cost. Mrs. Ream has taken an active part in helping to keep the fees down to benefit both the office and the tax payer and in helping the office to be self sustaining. Under Mrs., Reams supervision many improvements have been made in keeping the important records of the Recorder's Office. Along with the improvements in the keeping of the records has gone increased service on the part of the Employees of the office. Courtesy and efficiency has been stressed to the point where the vastly increased volume of business bus-iness has been taken care of promptly and efficiently. Mrs. Ream is a strong advocate of better government thru better service to the tax payers and the general public. Mrs. Ream, a native of Spanish Fork, is the daughter of the late Joseph J. Evans and Margarel Davis Evans, early Utahns. A life long Republican having beer active in the party as a State Central Committee woman,. Precinct Pre-cinct Chairwoman, President of the Federation of Women's Republican Study Club, Utah County Vice Chairwoman, member of Prove Business and Professional Womens Club and the National Secretaries Association (Bridal Veil Falls Chapter), Women's State Legislative Legisla-tive Council of Utah. Also a member mem-ber of State Association of Countj Officials, Delegate to the Nationa Convention of County Officials held at Jacksonville, Florida, ir 1948, representing Utah County Charter member of the Mounl Flonette Chapter of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
