We have before us the accumulated accumu-lated evidence of the New Testament Testa-ment Gospels. We might envy the experience of those who first saw Him and heard Him when He was here on earth, but we have advantages that they did not have. We of today stand with all the evidences and assurances of the 'Imp and the ages. Cut for us, as for those who va ar.d heard with wonderment, wonder-ment, the Christ does not come -vitli His fullness unless we. too. use Him with wondarment. The first essential for the knowledge of the Christ is to !".ow that story of the earthly life of Jesus, to walk with Him in Galilee. Sumaria and Judea, tn wander in the fields and villages .and byways, as well as to journey jour-ney to the feasts. Jerusalem and the Temple. An amazing thing about the Gospels is that they are always new They convey always s sense of wonder. It is as we read and know the Gospels that the truth and richness rich-ness and the ercporience of all that follows comes alive the letters let-ters of St. Paul, and of Peter, James and John; the e'ect of the Gospel upon disciples in a pagan world, and the revelation of what Christ has been to these whe have known, loved and followed Him in all the centuries of Christian Chris-tian faith. , "To know the love of Christ, which passeth' knowledge " That is the richest and greatest experience man can have, and any man can have it. |
