Show Derby Winners to Get Many Prizes; Entries Coming In Jaycees, who are co-sponsoring the Utah state soap box derby here in Springville on July 16, announce an-nounce that some 15 local entries are now in. and will be competing for the numerous state and national nation-al prizes. To assist in publicizing the first event of this kind to be sponsored in Springville, the Jaycees are adopting a new attire to wear on various occassions. The new attire at-tire will be in the form of a uniform uni-form consisting of a checkered shirt, sun helmet and other forms of apparel to draw attention to the coming event. Many prizes are in store for the winners in the various derby contests. Some of the outstanding prizes will include a T. H. Keating Keat-ing plaque for the winner. For the best upholstering job, an Electric Paint Sprayer will be given. To the best constructed car will go a Stanley tool board. And to each participant will go the blue 1955 safety racing helmet. These are only a few of many trophies to be given.
