Show 4-H Club News . . Young Yum Club The Young- Yum 4-H club met at the home of their leader, Mrs. Lambson and had their lesson on creamed soups and basic bater. The group made three kinds of soup during the afternono; including peanut butter soup, potato soup & parsley soup. They were taught how to make dish washing easier. Marjorie Tipton, reporter Sewing Bees The Sewing Bees of Mapleton held their second meeting- of the year at the home of Kristine Whiting Whit-ing June 13. They learned to darn stockings and refreshments were served after the lesson. The next meeting was announced for June 20, to be at the home of Ann Clow-ard. Clow-ard. Kristine Whiting, reporter A. LeRoy Starr Takes Bride from S.L.C. in Temple Rites June 15 m j. a Of special interest to relatives and friends here is announcement of the marriage of Miss Fay Staples Sta-ples of Salt Lake City and Albert LeRoy Starr of Salina, formerly of Springville. The wedding was an event of Fri., June 15, taking place in the Salt Lake temple. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Staples of Kanosh. After their marriage, the couple left on an extended wedding trip to the northwest, where they will visit a brother, Warren Starr and family at Pullman, Washington, and will travel down the coast to California. They plan to make their home at Salina, headquarters for Mr. Starr who is now unit conservationist conserva-tionist for the North Sevier county Soil Cnservation. The new Mrs. Starr has been employed as secretary for the soil conservation department working in Provo office and later in Salt Lake City. Previous to his work as soil conservationist, con-servationist, Mr. Starr a graduate of the USAC, taught in state schools for the deaf and blind in various places including New York, Montana, Missouri and California. He is also a veteran of World War II. |
