Show Wallace Patrick Leaves Postoffice To Continue School Wallace Patrick, assistant postmaster, post-master, has resigned his position at the post office, to continue his schooling, it was announced Wednesday. Wed-nesday. He left Tuesday for Indianapolis, Indian-apolis, Ind., where he will enroll in a linotype school, preparatory to enrolling in college in the fall. Following graduation from the local high school in 1933, "Wally" as he is known by friends here, attended at-tended the BYU two years and later worked as a sub-mail carrier under postmaster Charles Boyer. Several years ago, he took the civil service examination to become assistant postmaster to J. Emmett Bird. He has been active in civic work and especially in the Jaycee organization or-ganization in which he received the Grant Thorn award one year as the outstanding club member. He has always wanted to continue his schooling and local friends wish him well in his new undertaking and congratulate him on his initiative. |
