Mrs. Jennie Schwartz of Flem-ingburg, Flem-ingburg, Kentucky, is visiting nelson, nel-son, Thomas L. Schwartz and family in this city. Mrs. Schwartz plans to visit here indefinitely. Mrs. H. T. Reynolds entertained entertain-ed at a nicely arranged social at her home Monday in honor of Mrs. Anna Mendenhall, who has left to visit in Montana. Members Members of the Alpha Beta club were delightfully entertained last Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Vern Crandall. The general gen-eral theme of the meeting was Americanization with Mrs. M. R. Straw, district chairwoman in charge. The papers to be given at the High school on Washington's Washing-ton's birthday were given during the afternoon as follows: "Poverty," "Pover-ty," by Pauline Clyde; "Security," by Tom Latimer; "Neutrality," by Delia Baxter; "Medical Insurance" Carl Bird; "Old Age Security," Quenton Fletcher. Patriotic music was furnished by Mrs. Virgil Bird who gave twc- piano solos and by Miss Helen Palfrcyman who gave two vocal solos. At the close of the meeting refreshments were served to a large group of club members in attendance. Mrs. F. W. Hoffman, president was in charge and announced the next meeting of the cltlh to be held at the home of Mrs. A. O. Packard on Friday, March 5. Mrs. Anna Mendenhall left re prizes for the games being awarded award-ed to Mr. and Mrs. George Noe and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Tripp. Among those from Springville who attended the Canner's convention con-vention in Ogden Saturday, were Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Eddington. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fry, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Boyer, and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eggextson. Included also in the party were Dr. and Mrs. Elmo Eddington of Lehi, and Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Fry of Ogden. Some of the group attended the meetings of the convention and others were in attendanc at the banquet and ball at the Hotel Ben Lomond. The regular meeting of the American Legion auxiliary will be held next Wednesday at Memorial hall.
