Gordon Cope to Paint LarWall Murals " - e Chesty In New art Building iriss Judy Lund, state director of V. P. A. art work projects and Gordon Cope well known Utah artist and a consistant exhibitor at the local high school spent some time recently inspecting- the new art gallery and measuring" the wall space for some mural paintings to be done by Mr. Cope. The murals are to fill two panels, 30 hy 8 feet, on the walls of the Little Theater. Mr. Cope is now working- on the sketches for the paintings wiiich are to depict the history of art. The sketches will then be presented pre-sented to Miss Lund for her approval ap-proval before the actual work on the murals begins. Both visitors expressed delight in the new building especially commenting- upon the tiled floors and artistic appearance of the building. Miss Lund has shown marked interest in the gallery since the building was begun, and her suggestions and interest have proven of great value to the art committee.
