Show HUSBAND OF FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DIES Graveside services were con- ducted at the Evergreen cemetery Saturday afternoon, for Richard W. M'cTavish, 73, husband of Mrs. Sadie Kelley McTavish, formerly of Springville, who died in Salt Lake City, the preceding Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Death was due to a paralytic para-lytic stroke. Mr. McTavish, a Spanish-American war veteran, was a former assistant superintendent and manager man-ager of Yellowstone Western stages in the days when horse-drawn horse-drawn vehicles were used in the park. He was also employed as guard at the state prison for 16 years and during this time was presented with a gold medal from the Salt Lake City chamber of commerce for ' his part in stopping stop-ping an attempted jail break. He married Mrs. Kelley in Preston, Idaho, November 23, 1913. His widow is the ionly known survivor. |
