Show I LOCAL BOYS ENTER MEET AT LOGAN Several teams representing the ocal Smith-Hughes farm mech-; mech-; inic and agriculture project work under the direction of A. E. Ja-'tobsen Ja-'tobsen and W. H. Anderson, will fleave here Thursday to enter competition at the annual Future sFarmer convention at Logan, Uugust IS to 20. Representing the agriculture department de-partment are Kent Palfreyman, James Alleman, Don Bird, livestock live-stock judging; Ruel Crandall, De iVere Weight, Reed Garlick, dairy; Neil Whiting and Cecil Johnson, -poultry. Farm mechanics: Walter jilobell, Earl Nielson and Burnis j Watts. j Ruel Crandall will also be presented pre-sented as a candidate from Spring-; Spring-; ville for the American Farmer ; degree which is the highest award attainable by a Future Farmer. He was given the award of state : farmer last year. To be presented for state farmer awards at the g j convention this year, are Don I Bird and James Alleman. The first meeting of the' con-I con-I ration will be at 7 Pi m., Thurs-S Thurs-S 'day, for all boys and sponsors, i state officers and college repre- sentatives. Friday at 8 p. m., I j judging starts and on Friday eve-J eve-J ! ning boys from all chapters will I j furnish an entertainment and vocational leaders will give talks. ' Saturday will be devoted to con-1 con-1 . vention work for the boys, plans I : for the year's work and election I ; of officers.
