Show Side walk. Paving Assured Following Public Hearing At a public hearing meeting of the city council Monday night at which protests could be made against the city improvement program, pro-gram, in connection with the installation in-stallation of cement walks on the narrower streets of the town, only ten protests were filed. This represents rep-resents only a very small per cent of property owners concerned concern-ed and thus gives the council permission per-mission to proceed with the walk program. Members of the council wish at this time to point out to. property owners concerned that a time limit of five years is given in which to pay for the walks. After the first year, a reasonable interest inter-est will be charged. City officers also passed an ordinance amending .the traffic laws of 1932 thus giving the town an ordinance as fine as any in the state, and one which conforms con-forms with the state traffic regulations. |
