Show Local Mrs. Rose Blackett, wife of Harvey Har-vey Blackett of this city, is at the L. D. S. hospital, Salt Lake City, undergoing treatment for a serious illness. . Supervisors Mrs. J. C. Nielson and Mrs. Grant Whitehead of the local 4-H clubs, have completed their visits to eaeh group and report re-port that plans are underway for exhibits in the Utah county fair, the "health contests and other 4-H club activities. Much progress is also shown by practically every club in the city, in the work outlined out-lined for the summer. The Springville high school band under the direction of Walter Peterson, returned the latter part of the week from a delightful tour of Yellowstone national parK. The high school Future Farmers, Farm-ers, chaperoned by Instructor W. H. Anderson and A. E. Jacob-sen Jacob-sen returned recently from a trip to Yellowstone park. They also visited some outstanding dairy and beef herds in the north. W. H. Anderson reports that boys in the Future Farmer group are preparing to enter some fine animals in the Utah county fair, F. F: A. division, at Provo, next month. The J. M. Sumsion Construction company of this city, was recently awarded a contract to oil and gravel six miles of highway connecting con-necting Spanish Fork with Lake Shore. The last. .band- concert of this season given by the senior high school band, under the direction . of Walter Peterson, was held Sun-. Sun-. clay night, at the city park. The concerts have proven especially entertaining during the summer and have attracted a large crowd of local and out-of-town people to the park each Sunday night. Miss Edith Nash is convalescing convalesc-ing from a recent operation for I appendicitis which she underwent at Dr. Georges hospital, Spanish Fork.
