Show ROOSEVELT ON FISHING TRIP ABOARD PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT'S ROOSE-VELT'S SPECIA L TRAIN EN ROUTE TO NEW ORLE AN S, April 28 (U.II) President Roosevelt Roose-velt relaxed today from two days of overtime work as he headed j south toward the Gulf of Mex- i ico for a spring fishing vacation. ' The president was five hours behind schedule leaving Washington. Wash-ington. Railroad officials said the delay was because "we didn't want to get down the line too early." Mr. Roosevelt lounged at ease in his private car as it passed through the Carolinas. The president's special train will arrive at New Orleans shortly short-ly after noon tomorrow. He will board the U.S.S. Potomac later that afternoon for tarpon fishing off the coast of Texas. Mr. Roosevelt will return to Washington Thursday, May 13, after short stopovers in Galveston. Galves-ton. Tex., where he will leave his U.S.S. Potomac; College Station. Sta-tion. Tex., and Fort Worth, Tex., the home of his son Elliott. |
