Show DUCK SEASON OPENS OCT. 15 Ducks, geese and other migratory migra-tory wildfowl may be shot in Utah from October 15 to November Novem-ber 28, it is announced by Newell B. Cook, state fish and game commissioner. com-missioner. Daily hunting will be from 7 a. m. to 4 p. m., according to Mr. Newell. Ten ducks will be the limit for one day this year, with the possession pos-session limit set at 20. Geese and Brant (except Ross's goose) limit is five in the aggregate of all kinds in any one day, and the possession limit is 10. Fifteen Jacksnipe may be taken in one day or 25 coot. Gun regulations provide that the birds be shot with a shotgun not larger than number 10 gauge, the magazine of which will not hold more than three shells. In Utah county, the area within with-in a radius of one-fourth mile from the Provo wildfowl refuge and at Bullock's rat farm, as marked and posted, will be closed to hunting. |
