Show Commissioner to Face Sentence For Malfeasance PRICE A district court jury, Saturday found County Commis-.sioner Commis-.sioner W. E. Engle guilty of malfeasance in office on two counts. Sentence will be pronounced pro-nounced by Judge Will Hoyt of Nephi, October 11. The two counts on which Mr. Engle was convicted are: 1. That on January 7, 1937, Mr. Engle moved and voted for the sale of 160 acres of land for $160 to Dan Collins of Price, who was secretly appearing on behalf of the commissioner, and that Mr. Engle has had an interest in the property since that time. 2. That Mr. Engle wrongfully used the name of hi3 brother-in-law, J. H. Debenham of Salt. Lake City, in purchising 80 acres of land from the county commis- , sioners on June 5, 1936, to obtain the land for his own purposes. I |
