Nielson has been appointed appoint-ed carpenter instructor in charge of the industrial training service, classes in which are to be held twice weekly in Spanish Fork, beginning at 7:30 p. m, Thursday. Thurs-day. Amateurs in carpentry work securing approval of builder or carpenter, are urged to enrolll. Earl ' Nielson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Nielson is convalescing from an appendicitis operation, which 'he underwent Sunday, at the Payson hospital. High school students are looking look-ing forward to the big dance Friday Fri-day evening in Memorial hall as a fitting climax for the afternoon's after-noon's football game between the local school and Lincoln here. Ralph Miglaccio's orchestra will furnish the music at the dance. The high school national assembly as-sembly presented by the famous magician, Mr. Howa, Tuesdajy, was one of the most entertaining so far this year, students report. The Fourth Ward M Men are sponsoring a dance next Tuesday night, immediately after Mutual at the ward amusement hall, with music to be furnished by Ted Beck's orchestra. Funds derived from the dance are to be used to purchase suits for the M Men basketball team. Everyone is invited to attend the high school football game between be-tween Springville and Lincoln, Friday at 3 p. m on the local campus. The game is expected to be a good one and is free to the public. Mrs. Charles Boyer is convalescing con-valescing at her home from a recent re-cent major operation which she underwent at Dr. George A. Anderson's An-derson's hospital. Mrs. Glenn H. Allen is recovering recov-ering from a recent appendicitis operation, underwent at the Dr. George A. Anderson hospital. James R. Clegg and Max Bjarnson. the latter, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bjarnson, Bjarn-son, are both recovering from operations for appendicitis at the Dr. George A. Anderson hospital. Mr. and Mrs. J. Albart Giles announce the marriage of their daughter. Bernice Teasdale. to Mr. Dwight Bartholomew, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bartholomew, in the Salt Lake temple, October 5, 1938. |
