Show C. C. Camp N ews Twenty-three men from the A.spen Grove camp at Escalantc, Utah, joined the ranks of Company Com-pany 958 Wednesday evening. Most of these men are old time CCC'ers and have been transferred because their camp was one of the four Utah companies which were disbanded dis-banded at the end of this enrollment enroll-ment period. Twenty rookies from Utah county coun-ty were examined Thursday at the Hobble Creek camp and accepted for enrollment. Six of these newly new-ly enrolled members were retained in this company and eight were enrolled for the Bryce Canyon camp. Fourteen rookies from Sanpete county arrived today to be enrolled en-rolled in this company for the winter, and to those who are coming com-ing into our midst, the "hard shells" of Company 958 say "WELCOME." "WEL-COME." ccc A crew of men will begin work on the Provo camp the first part of the week to get it in readiness for moving into on October 30. This will make the third winter for this company at the Provo camp and from the general appearance ap-pearance everyone is tickled to be going back to the old stomping grounds again. ccc Chaplain Theo E. Curtis, assistant assist-ant district chaplain and Lt. Colonel S. J. Miller, district chaplain chap-lain of Fort Douglas paid a visit to our camp Wednesday, October 14. In the evening the boys made the canyon roar by singing songs led by Chaplain Curtis after which a short talk was given by Colonel Miller. |
