Show 1 i J i ' fcM-gr y----1 tim ruin r J BLAINE CLYDE BLAINE CLYDE TO FULFILL L D. S. MISSION Blaine Clyde, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Clyde of this city has accepted a call to labor as an L. D. S. missionary in Czecko-Slo-vakia. He will be the first missionary mis-sionary from Springville to go to this foreign nation. He will leave October 26. to attend the missionary mission-ary school in Salt Lake City,, and will leave November 12, for" the mission. In honor of Mr. Clyde, a farewell fare-well social will be held Friday night, in the Fourth ward amusement amuse-ment hall. A program and dancing danc-ing will feature the entertainment. All ward members and friends are invited to attend. For the past two years Blaine has attended the University of Utah enrolled in the school of civil engineering. He graduated in 1934 from the Springville high school where he was an honor student. Prior to his graduation he was chosen to represent Utah. Idaho and Nevada, at a Future Farmer conference in California and as the representative gave a talk on Future Fu-ture Farmer work over the radio. He is an outstanding student and as such will undoubtedly make a good record as a missionary. His I friends and associates join to wish him Godspeed on the long journey j and in the new work. j ( |
