Show COUNTY ASKS $473,000 IN FEDERAL AID : Hinckley Flies To Capital ' With Utah's Request; Seek Road Aid Request for $473,000 for civil works in Utah county will be made in Washington some time early t his week, following a summary of the work to be done here bv Hilton Hil-ton A. Robertson, chairman of the county commissioners, and Country Attorney W. Stanley Dunford, Sunday noon. The request was taken to Washington Wash-ington along with the rest of the requests for public works aid in Utah, by Robert H. Hinckley, public pub-lic works administrator, who started start-ed for Washington, D. C, by plane Sunday at 1 o'clock. County Projects The money requested for Utah county is designed for work on the county fair grounds, the city and county buildings-grounds, the county coun-ty infirmary, the state training school at American Fork and the state hospital at Provo. along with work on cemeteries, waterworks and roads and road beautification in the towns of the county. Included in the list of projects for the county is listed $125,000 for county roads, $10,000,010 for the state training school, and $25,000 for the Utah state hospital, which has already received a grant of $124,500. Although these two are primarily state projects, they were asked to be included witn thr county's requests for a money grant. Park County Grounds Work planned to be done on the fair grounds would be in completing complet-ing the b'-ildinps and the city and count"- building grounds are pla.-rttt pla.-rttt to be parked. This would cost approximately $5,000. Cities and towns throughout the county have applied for aid from the public works fund for waterworks, water-works, roads and cemeteiies Springville plans to beautify her streets with a grant and Provo plans a road-building; campaign if the money is forthcoming. Mr. Hinckley, will present the Utah request to Harry L. Hopkins, federal administrator of civil works relief.
