Show past winter to haul the ore from the dump at Deer creek to the Cave Camp where it is dumped onto the ground. The ore is then taken by trucks to Pleasant Grove to be shipped the rest of the way by train. Four trucks do the hauling from the Cave Camp; the mine employs em-ploys 20 men at the diggings. Deep Snow In A. F. Canyon Tunnels have had to be built in I the snow to allow the tram buckets : from the anltee mine in American ; Forlc canyon to pass during the past month. The tram which extends ex-tends from the mine at the head of the canyon to Deer creek, where the ore is dumped, has uprights fourteen feet high. The snow drifted up so high in some of the gulches onto the uprights up-rights that it was found easier to tunnel tlwn,gh the snow than to dig a trench to free the cable. The tramway is nearly five miles long and has one span, from the Mary : Ellen gulch to Porcupine ridge, i that is one mile long. Ten men have been employed the |
