Show Officers Of Business Men's Club Are Chosen: Bradford Is President , t , . . Cooperation Is Watchword of Group Organized Organ-ized co Promote Home Trading and Community Projects ' R. W. Bradford, manager of the Kolob Mercantile store, was elected elect-ed president of a business men's club of Springville at an organization organiza-tion meeting, Monday evening. C. W. Bushard was elected vice president; presi-dent; Milan Beardall, secretary and treasurer; T. L. Callister, Mark E. Tripp, Guy Blown and Hosmcr Tucker, board members. The purpose of the organization is to work for the betterment of the community, to encourage trading trad-ing at home and to stimulate an interest in community affairs by closer cooperation. While the various business enterprises enter-prises were well represented at the initial meet, it is hoped that the attendance at-tendance will gradually increase to include representatives from everv ' form of business in the city. With present day competition and the rapid means of transportation, problems confront business concerns con-cerns of smaller communities, which can be solved only through systematic organization, it is believed. be-lieved. A commercial organization here could do much toward solving solv-ing problems which confront every business concern in the city, officers offi-cers of the newly organized club state. ' Club members will hold their next meeting Monday evening, Mar. 27, at which time by-laws and other details relative to a permanent organization or-ganization will be perfected The place of meeting will be announced announc-ed later. |
