(UP) Two dead and several shocked by lightning marked the results of a casuul thunder storm, the first of the summer, sum-mer, in southwestern Idaho late Monday afternoon. The dead are A. P. Heap of Emmett, struck by lightning while working in a watermelon water-melon patch near Emmett, and Harold Summers of Star. Summers was killed while working with a threshing crew. The worst of the lightning was evidently in the region of Star for there a group of threshers, E. B. Van Horn, C. L. House, John Van Dusen, James Johnson and G. J. Ward were all knocked down. Henry Leslie who was driving a team along the highway was knocked knock-ed from his wagon, the team running run-ning into a nearby field. |
