Show ARTS COURSE 1 IS OUTLINED Cherniavsky Trio Headlines V Attractions For Year 19:10-31. Seven numbers consisting of renowned re-nowned musicians and speakers have been engaged for the 1930-31 aits course at Brigham Young university, uni-versity, according; to Profs. Herald R. Clai k and John C. S'wenson, who have the r.rts program in charge. These numbers are headlined by the Cherniavsky trio of instrumentalists, instrumen-talists, a group that h:is pleased , Provo aiidiencos many times. h"t completely that the committee thought they should be rt-lurnuc again. The trio consists of a violinist, violin-ist, celloist and pianist. In addition to the Cherniavsky trio, the committee has arranged for the appearance on the program of such well known singers as Richard Rich-ard Bonnelli. internationally known baritone who is receiving many plaudits in Europe; Miss Lucy -Gates.' Utah's own nightingale, a soprano who has won funic on two continents. There will be four lectures on the course, all of thorn by outstanding men in their particular fields. These will be Dr. Jrilsburv. cinnt- George D. Pyper, musician and theater manager, for years connected connect-ed with the old Salt Lake theater and biographer of the old show house that was one of the famed theaters in the nation ; Lewis Browne, author of "This Bewildering Bewilder-ing World," who was heartily received re-ceived upon his former visit; anc ; Dr. William Findley, naturalist. This group of entertainers, the committee believes, will bring to students, faculty and patrons of Brigham Young university a well-rounded well-rounded course that will b'e extremely ex-tremely interesting as well as high class in every particular. s |
