Show . Regular English Summer i Teaching Faculty Oi H. Y. U. Augmented. The regular English teaching j faculty of the Brigham Young uni-I uni-I versiiy will be augmented this summer, sum-mer, the addition being that of some of the most renouued men in this department that it now is possible pos-sible to secure. Foremost among these might be mentioned Dr. Mer-ritt Mer-ritt Y. Hughes of the University of California. Dr. Hughes will offer work in Scottish literature which will doubtless doubt-less be one of the most popular courses at the summer session of the Brigham Young university. The quality of Professor Hughes' work and his popularity are well known in and around Utah. He is unsurpassed in his field, which fact alone will doubtless guarantee him scores of students. Another addition to the English faculty that will be heartily welcomed wel-comed by all prospective students will be that of Dr. Adam B. Ben-nion, Ben-nion, superintendent of the L .D. S. church school system. Dr. Ben-nion's Ben-nion's classes in "Literature of the Bible," and '"Education and Civilization" Civili-zation" have just been announced. Perhaps no man enjoys more popularity in the class room than does Superintendent Bennion. He has just recently finished intensive and extensive studies along the lines he is now going to teach. It is expected that church seminary heads, as well as English students, will register heavily in these courses. Junior and senior high school teachers will be interested in the announcement that Mrs. Maud Beeley Jacob will teach special classe in Carsculum Building and Administration in English in junior and senior high schools. |
