Show CELEBRATION OF STEEL DAY TO BE UTAH'S LARGEST National Guard of State to Be Asked to Regulate Traffic That Day. The celebration will be the largest ever held in the state of Utah and will be one long to be remembered as the beginning of the new industrial era of Utah and the inter-mountain country. Nothing will be left undone by the committees in charge to make the celebration one of the, most magnificent mag-nificent in the history otj the stcte. The arrangemencs of the entire affair af-fair is now on the hands Vf several committees including somo of the most prominent citizens in the state and everything augers for a most remarkable celebration. To protect the public safety at the steel ground and to regulate the traffic on. the highway to and from the plant site troops from the National Na-tional Guard of Utah will be asked to participate in the celebration. Adjutant Ad-jutant General W. G. Williams, in command of the state troops, has been appointed a committee of one to arrange for the public safety. , On the plant site a rostrum will be erected from which represeuta-' tives of the steel corporation, the state and Utah county will interpret inter-pret the meaning of the new industrial indus-trial activities of Utah and will give a history of the coming here of the steel corporation. President Wigginton E. Creed of San Francisco will represent the Columbia Steel corporation; Governor Gov-ernor Charles R. Mftbey will represent repre-sent the state and one to be chosen, who represented Provo and Utah county in getting the steel men interested in-terested in the local site, will tell how he succeeded in getting the plant located here. Other speakers may also be arranged ar-ranged for by the program committee. commit-tee. Flying Features. Among the entertainment features fea-tures may be stunt flying by two or three aeroplanes. Arrangements will also be made to have one of the best moving picture pic-ture photographers of California come here to take pictures of the celebration. These pictures, combined com-bined with others showing the scenic and industrial places of Utah, will later be used in advertising adver-tising the state of Utah in other parts of the nation. These were among the decisions made bv the committee appointed by Govi'uiur Charles It. Mabey to arrange for the celebration. The committee met Monday afternoon at the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. Present were Secretary E. S. Hinckley of Provo, chairman of the committee ; J. A. Owens, Provo ; Myron E. Crandall, M. O. Packard, and John Mendenhall, Springville; R. B. Porter, Ogden ; A. H. Jenkinson, Jenkin-son, representing L. F. Kains and the Columbia Steel corporation; La-Mar La-Mar Nelson, representing Governor Charles R. Mabey ; A. G. MacKcnzie B. F. Redman and Charles Tyng, of Salt Lake City.
