Show ERNIE COOMBS, PAYSON MAN, FOUND DEAD Salt Lake Hotel Attendant Finds Ernest G. Coombs Dead in Bed-Ernest Bed-Ernest G. Coombs, barber and pool hall owner of Payson, was found dead in his bed Monday morning morn-ing at the Hotel Belmont, Salt Lake City, according to the press report. Coombs had arrived in Salt Lake Friday and had intended returning to his home in Payson Monday morning. When a hotel attendant tried to awaken Coombs and was unable to get a response he entered the room and found the man lying in bed. "Just the second I touched him to shake him awake I knew he was dead," the attendant said. The police were immediately notified no-tified and the body was removed from the Belmont to the Eddington Funeral Home. One of Coombs' brothers is John IT. Coombs, principal of the East High school, at Salt Lake City. Au-j Au-j other brother is David Coombs, city electrician of Payson; Frank Coombs, electrician, of Payson is the third brother. One sister, Mrs. Hattie Sullivan of Eureka, survives. Mr. Coombs also leaves his wife and one child, a boy about nine vear old. "I have known Ernest Coombs for many years." said County Treasurer Treas-urer Henry Jcppson of Payson, when notified by The Herald of Mr. Coombs' death. "He always was a good law-abidig citizen, well liked by all who knew him. For several years he had been troubled with heart attacks, and at times had to quit bis business to rest up in California.
