Show STATE FARMERS MEET IN PROVO IN JANUARY The Utah State Farm Bureau, woolgrowers, poultry producers, sugar beet growers, and horticultural horticul-tural associations, will hold their annual convention in Provo, January Janu-ary 2t, 25, and 26, according to a decision reached at a meeting of state and county bureau officials held in that city Saturday after-, noon. j Offickils rresont The state organization was rep-j resented by President Eph Berge-1 son and Miss Edna Rosenkrantz, secretary and manager of the state orga nization. The big annual meeting will be held in connection with Brigham Young university leadership week. , The program of the farm bureau and knidred organizations will be made to dovetail with the activities of leadership week, it is stated. Mr. Bcrgeson complimented the directors of the Utah county unit upon the splendid manner in I which they are getting back of the I state program. Tax Measures Urged It was the concensus of opinion of the meeting that classified property prop-erty and income tax measures should be drawn to submit to the next legislature, it being the belief ' of the farmers that such measures are essential to tax equalization. The directors of the Utah County Coun-ty Farm Bureau went on record as favoring any movement in the furtherance of the community and I Utah county fairs. |
