Best returned to his home in this city last week after several week's stay at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake. I Mrs. G. It. Ilarmer and children are home after spending three weeks with relatives in Idaho. George Noe of Ogden spent the past week In this city, the guest of Mr. Lloyd Asheraft. Miss Mildred Anderson, who is attending school at St. Mary's spent the holiday , week in this city. She accompanied her parents, Dr. and Mrs. George Anderson back to Salt Lake Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Deming have returned to their home in Salt Lake after spending a few days as the guests of Dr. and Mrs. George Anderson. An-derson. Mrs. Deming who was formerly for-merly Miss Genevieve Perry, was a teacher in the local high school last year. The Aaron Johnson Camp Xo. 18, Daughters of the Pioneers will hold their next meeting at the home of .Mrs. Celena Kelsey Thursday Jan. 13 at 2 o'clock. An excellent program pro-gram is arranged, including some interesting papers. A discussion of the new year's work will take place, and all members are urged to1 be present. Mr. and Mrs. Manford Hutchinson Hutchin-son were the Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. OrinWinget of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Baxter are spending the week-end in Salt Lake as the guests of Mrs. Baxter's sister Mrs. Joseph Hilton. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Dallin spent lliree days of last week in Salt Lake with relatives. Mrs. Arthur Finley entertained the members of the S. T. cLub at ber home Thursday evening. Roy Houtz of the ship Colorado, spent two days of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alleman. Mr. Hontz is the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Houtz of Grnntsville. Mrs. Dora Davis was the guest Sunday of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sumsion, and of her aunt, Mrs. Fred Smith. The W. C. T. U. will meet today at the home of Mrs. It. W. Davidson. David-son. A successful banquet, program and (lancing party was given Saturday Sat-urday evening at the opera house, in honor of the Black Hawk Indian war veterans of this cify. The banquet wras served early in the the following program took place; the fllowing program took place: Short talk by Prof. James Boyle of Provo, also a talk by Mrs. Nelson Heal, J. E. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Forsyth and , family were the Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. W. J. Groes-heck. Mrs. Helen Harmon of Salt Lake City is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Best of Springville. Spring-ville. Guy Mendenhall left Tuesday for California, where he will work as a missionary for six months. Miss Ileen Harrison entertained at a candy pull and chili supper Tuesday evening at her home. Miller of this oily. & iicious retreshnients were served to 11 members. Special guests included Mrs. Manford Hutchinson and Mrs. Harold Harward. Mrs. liatcbel Hatten of Provo is the house guest of Miss Marie Binks during this week. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Salisbury entertained en-tertained at a family dinner party Sunday. Covers were laid for the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Jess Salisbury, Dona Helen and Howard .Salisbury, and Mrl and Mrs. Frank Salisbury. A unique party was given Wednesday Wed-nesday evening when the ladies of the Mother's Study club entertained their husbands at n chicken dinner din-ner at Harrison's HoteL Mrs. Anna Johnson acted as toastmistress and toasts were given by Mrs. Sadie Bate, Mrs. Joshie Alleman, Mrs. Itena lioylance, Mrs. Nell Alleman, and Mrs. Ivan Chikls. During the dinner Mrs. Ada Harrison cleverly iniersonated "lAunt Hot." After dinner the guests nnd members went to the hojjie of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Reynolds, where Mrs. Reynolds Rey-nolds gave them an address of welcome. wel-come. During the evening Mrs. Bird Huntington gave a comic history of the club and Mrs. G. L. Dallin gave I lie future. Games were played and 'ight refreshments served to 32 at 12 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Dallin entertained enter-tained at dinner Saturday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. George Dallin and sons Reed and Bertram.
