Show TAYLORS ARE SURPRISED ON ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum J. Taylor of Springville were the happy recipients reci-pients of a pleasant surprise party, siven at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Albert Griggs, Friday, January Janu-ary 7. The event was in commemoration commemo-ration of the golden wedding anui-varsary anui-varsary of Mr. and Mrs. Tayler. The members of the family had a most delightful time at games, general gen-eral sociability, and delicious refreshments. re-freshments. Three daughters and their families famil-ies were in attendance. They were Mrs. Albert Griggs of Springville; Mrs. Robert Williams of Mid vale, and Mrs. I. O. Davis of Bingham; also their grand-daughter and husband, hus-band, Mr. and Mrs. Sheirl Peterson, and her brother, 'William J. Matti-son, Matti-son, of Midvale. Hyrum J. Taylor was born in Bil-pher, Bil-pher, Dehenshire, England, May 12, . 1852. His parents came as pioneers ' to Salt Lake City in 182. Later 1 that same year they settled in j Springville, where Mr. Taylor has j since made his home. In 187.7 he married Ann Edwards, who was born in Beaver, Utah, June 23, 1858. Her parents moved to Springville when she was seven months of age, and she has lived in this city since that time. They were married by Lyman S. Wood January 6, 1877. They are the parents of eight children, six of whom nre now living. They are: Willie J. Taylor, John J Taylor and Mrs. Albert Griggs, of Springville; Mrs. Ben Richie of Santaquiu ; Mrs. Bob Willinms. of Midvale; and Mrs. I. O. Davis of Bingham. They have thirty-three grandchildren.. |
