In addition to thes'e appointive officers, a large number of road supervisors and' assistants will bo named by the hoard of county commissioners com-missioners within the near future. It is expected that the appointive officers chosen by the respective principals will be confirmed by the board of county commissioners since the law provides that every county, product, or district officer, except a county commissioner or judicial officer, may, by and with the consent of the board of county commissioners, apimint as many deputies nnd assistants as may be necessary for the prompt and faithful faith-ful discharge of the duties of his office. ' The law further provides tna. the appointment of a deputy must he made in writing and filed in the office of the county clerk, and until un-til such appointment is so made and filed and until such deputy shall have taken such oath of office, no one shall be or act as such deputy: 'provided, that nny officer appointing appoint-ing nnv deputy shall be liable for all" official acts of such deputy: and provided, further.
