Show HEALTH CENTER WOREPLANNED Many Women's Organizations Are Reresented at Sunday Meeting. Plans for the recently organized health center work of Utah couoty will be operating under the provisions pro-visions of the Shephord-Towner act were outlined Sunday afternoon at a meeting of interested c;ty and county officials nnd representatives of various women's organizations c.f the city. Dr. F. W Toylor outlined plans for maternity and welfare work as provided in the act under which the health center is operating. Mayor O. K. Hansen of Provo endorsed I he move of establishing the health center nnd spoke of the sanitary and the better health conditions of the city. Dr. It. C. Potter, county physician, gave a history of rte origin of mother and child welfare work and traced the development of the move which finally eulminaled in congress con-gress passing the Shephord-Towner act which provides for the financing of !he movement. Mrs. Conover, state nurse from the office of the slate bun lib board spoke of the accomplishments of other hoallh centers in Utah, while Mrs. S. K. Clay of Salt Lnke, recently re-cently appointed Utah county visiting visit-ing nurse nnd who will conduct three heallh centers in Utah counly at Payson, Provo nnd American Fork, outlined the plans for the conducting of the centers. A. O. Smoot, county commissioner of Utah county, endorsed the movement move-ment and said that Hie commission was willing to ro-operate in improving improv-ing health conditions here.
