Show Winners listed in Explorer driver skill contest here Winner of the Hobble Creek District Explorer car skills contest held Saturday, Novem ber 9, was Reed Barker of Post 66, according to announcement an-nouncement by contest directors. The contest, sponsored by the Hobble Creek District of the Boy Scouts with the cooperation coop-eration of Police Chief Ashley Ash-ley Graham and Springville police department, was held in the Kolob Stake House parking park-ing lot. Judging was done by the post advisors. Cars for the contest were furnished by Gridley Chevrolet Chevro-let of Spanish Fork, Smith Auto Au-to of Spanish Fork and Andersen's Ander-sen's of Provo. Other winners besides first place, were: Wendell Whiting of Post 64; Cyril Crandall, Post 129; Jerry Warren, Post 129; Rex Miner, Post 64; Calvin Bird, Post 129; Doug Bring-hurst, Bring-hurst, Post 62; Jean Levanger, Post 62; Kern Boyer, Post 61; Roger Fowles, Post 62. In hospital Mrs. Bernice W. Woods is convalescing from a major operation op-eration which she underwent this week at Utah Valley Hos-j pital. |
