Show Arcbisn stallion wins top rating Witezell, a two - year - old thoroughbred Arabian stallion, took first place in his class of eighteen entries in the largest Arabian horse show in the world. The top award was an outstanding achievement for Dr. and Mrs. Blake Gammell, owners of the horse. They, along with their four children, just recently returned from the horse show in Estes Park, Colo., where the United States national championship classes were held. The entire Gammell family helps take care of them and it has become be-come a hobby for the entire family, Mrs. Gammell included. Clyde and Bill, the two sons, have both shown horses at I some of the horse shows held. In competition with 18 other entries at the world's largest Arabian Horse show held recently in Estes, Colorado. Dr. and Mrs. Blake Gammell's two year old stallion took first place in his class. He was bred and raised here by the Gammells. the Gammells were most pleased pleas-ed to walk off with top honors. The two-year-old stallion was bred and raised by the Gammells Gam-mells and has been the pet because of his extreme gentleness. gentle-ness. At the national show the Gammels also sold a two-year- old filly and it will be making its new home in Washington, D.C., at the largest breeders of Arabian horses in the United Unit-ed States. ' A great admirer of horses, Dr. Gammell has always loved them since he had his first pony in Springville 36 years ago. He went to the Kellogg Arabian ranch at Pamona whenever possible during the time he was attending Southern South-ern California Dental School. It was during this time that he decided this was the breed he admired most. Starting his dental practice and family curbed his desire to raise horses until six years age when he purchased his first mare. Since then he has taker an active part in raising and exhibiting his beautiful horses throughout the intermountair area. With the new arrival ol a filly last Wednesday, he now |
