Show Work pAray M facilities a! Kelly's Grove Work is going forward this week at Kelly's Grove on the installation of new camping facilities, especially espec-ially for MIA eirls, it was announced by officers in charge. On approximately 15 acres of church and city owned property pro-perty in the southeast section of the Grove, portions are to be cleared for parking, while in the southeast corner of the area, three or four out-door cooking enclosures will be built. Later on a canopy may be installed to the left of the cooking area. The picnic area is expeced to be used for camping and for church programs and as the need arises and funds are available more facilities will be added. There is presently a natural nat-ural trail around the area located lo-cated across the creek on the south side. The trees which are to be removed from the land will be sawed up for use in the out-door cooking stoves. The church presently has a 15-year lease on the city-owned portion making approximately approxi-mately 15 acres in all. A bridge across Hobble Creek into the area has been constructed with the aid of 1 the National Guard engineers. Architects Kenneth Long and Robert Frazier have made plans for the new camping ' site and work will be under direction di-rection of committees from both stakes including Hal Taylor, Tay-lor, Kolob and Glen Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Springville; as general chairmen assisted by Glendon Johnson, Alta Taylor and Welby Warren of Kolob and George Pehrson, Lillian Cran-dall, Cran-dall, Dr. Reed Holdaway and Bliss Packard, Springville Stake. |
