Show Missionary given new assignment Gary E. Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene S. Wood of this city, has been appointed a supervising elder in the Wair-arapa Wair-arapa district at Masteron, in New Zealand, it was learned here this week. In this new position he will supervise other missionaries in the district and interview missionaries mis-sionaries and also converts. El der Wood, who reportedly is nearing the conclusion of a successful misison, left from the Third Ward in American Fork October 25, 1960. He is a graduate of Springville High School. Enroute to his home in November Nov-ember he plans to stop at Samoa Sa-moa Islands to visit converts his grandfather. James Morris Wood, made a number of years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Evans are planning to make their home in Las Vegas, Nev., in the near future, where Mr. Evans Ev-ans will be associated with a newly organized asphalt company. com-pany. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Merrill and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Wilson and families are among Springville Spring-ville people who have returned from Canada where they enjoyed en-joyed summer vacations with relatives and friends. |
