Show Pairings listed for VBBA maet to be clayed in SpringviOe Pairings are announced for the WBBA tournament to be played on the Memorial ball diamond beginning Aug. 2. The evening prior to the opening of the meet, the VFW auxiliary and post 5787 will give a banquet to all district participants, managers, coaches. coach-es. They will be notified of the place and time, Marie Hamilton, publicity chairman announces. For the adult members of participating teams, a breakfast break-fast will be given Thursday morning, Aug. 2 at 7 a.m. First day games will begin at 10 a.m. with Mill Creek meeting Hobble Creek. 12 noon Spring Creek vs. Tooele National; 2 p.m., Tooele American, Amer-ican, vs. American Fork National; Na-tional; 4 p.m. Mapleton vs. American Fork American. The Tournament is a single elimination elimi-nation event. Today between the second and third games, a transistor radio will be given away to the lucky ticket holder. This has been sponsored by the VFW to assist in raising funds for banqueting the players. Lucky holder need not be present pres-ent to win. |
