Front: Jimmy Simkins, Vern Young, Leland Bird, Terry Curtis and Phil Bird. Back: Jon Bird, Jimmy Olsen, Robert Watts, Bill Turtle, Mark Bills and Bill Blanchard. Three teams, two from Springville Stake and one from Kolob stake, will open play in the region Eight M Men tournament tour-nament which gets underway here and in the Payson gym next Tuesday, February 13, announces an-nounces Gordon Smith, regional region-al supervisor. Two teams, Third and Seventh will represent the Springville stake. Third will go in as the stake winner, having won over Seventh in their playoff game here last Saturday night. 12th 1 ward will represent Kolob as its winner. Third will play in the Springville gym while the other two will be at Payson. The tournament will be played in both gyms Feb. 13, 14 and 15 with the finals scheduled for ' Payson on Sat., the 17. Upper bracket teams, which will play in the Springville gym have been set up as follows: Third ward vs winner of Emery-Juab Emery-Juab playoff, Nevada 1st place vs Nebo 2nd place, Carbon 1st ' place vs Spanish Fork 2nd place, Palmyra 1st place vs i Santaquin-Tintic. Games begin j at 6 p.m. each night, i Lower bracket: (All games ! in the Payson high gym) Span-! Span-! ish Fork 1st place vs winner of ! Deseret-Millard playoff, North ! Carbon 1st place vs Springville i Seventh ward, Nebo 1st place ! vs Carbon 2nd place, Springville Twelfth ward vs Palmyra 2nd j place. Jr. M Men basketeers are Holding their tournament this week and will conclude Saturday Satur-day with the championship games being played at Nephi.
