Dan Peck of Lehi June 2 Pretty Miss Karen Peterson has set the date for her wed-ding in the Salt Lake Temple on June 2, with I. Dan Peck of Lehi. She is a daughter of Mrs.' Rulon Sheets of LaCan-ad- a, Calif., and Ray Peterson of Springville, and Dan's par-ents are Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Peck of Lehi. Honoring the couple a re-ception will be given in the Third-Nint- h Ward church June 3, the evening after their mar- - riage, and on June 8 they will be given a reception in Cali-fornia. They plan to make their home in Orem. A 1956 graduate of Spring-ville High School where '"' she was prominent in a cappella choir and the Boosters Club, the bride-ele- ct has been at-tending Brigham Young Uni-versity and living in Provo. She graduated from LDS Sem-inary in Springville. Her husband-to-b- e has filled an LDS mission in the North Western States. He graduated from Lehi High School and LDS Seminary and is present-ly enrolled as a junior at the BYU. : 4 .. '? ' Hew officers named by PTA One of the largest PTA meetings of the year attended by 110 parents was reported by the Lincoln school last Wed-nesday. Mrs. Forest Lamphere was president; Mrs. Cal-vin Finley elected Principal Ray Clark, second Mrs. Dick Johnson, secretary. The meeting featured films taken by Principal Clark throughout the year of stu-dents and teachers in various phases of activity both in study and recreation with com-ment by the teachers. Ruth Lowe was president of the Jefferson PTA at their Wednesday meet with Melba Gardner and Principal Nielson, vice presidents; Lynn Brown, secretary-treasure- r. Speaker was Dr. LaMar T. Miss Hazel Lunceford sets wedding date Of romantic interest to friends and relatives is an-nouncement of the approach-ing marriage of Hazel Lunce-ford to Derald L. Mitchell. The attractive bride-to-b- e is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orval L. Lunceford of Spring-ville. Mr. Mitchell is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman H. Mitchell of Richland, Wash. The young couple will be married in the Manti LDS Temple May 5. The following evening, the newlyweds will be honored at a wedding recep-tion given by her parents in the Springville Stake House from 8:00 until 10:00 p.m. Hazel is a graduate of the Springville High School and LDS Seminary. She attended the Brigham Young University and Carbon Junior College. Mr. Mitchell graduated from Columbia High School in Rich-land, and later attended the BYU. He has just returned from an LDS mission in Bra-zil and plans to return to the BYU to continue his education. The birthcay of Mrs. Maud Roylance called for a family er Monday evening in the form of a surprise par-ty for the guest of honor. Mitchell of Richland, Wash., is announced this week, the temple wedding being planned for May 5. music program Jolli Femme club members met with Betty Packard Wed-nesday evening of last week with Carol Clark Mrs. Clark assisted by Mrs Annie Forshee and Mrs. Shir-ley Dunn presented the pro gram on the life and works of the musician Jerome Kern. Mrs. Forshee gave three pi-ano selections by Kern; Mrs Dunn and Mrs. Clark gave vo-cal duets from his composi tions and Mrs. Clark gave two vocal solos and also reviewec' the life of the famous com poser. The club group planned their Mother's Day dinner to be giv-en May 6, at the home of Mrs Phyllis Clyde's mother, Mrs Justin Winkler, 264 East 4th South, Provo. 'Mamma Date' party Approximately 40 people en-joyed the Mama Date, party given by the Third ward Trail Builders Friday evening at the church. Dinner and dancing furnish-ed entertainment for the even-ing and some received some private cha-ch- a istruction.
