Show Feu5 rioted . . . ' Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cra- gun have returned to ' their home in Springville after spending the past three months doing temple work in St. George. Marvin Curtis and his son Rowley Curtis have returned to their home in Springville and Mapleton from a trip east to purchase a new truck for the Mountain Vu Egg Co. business. They went by plane to Union City, Indiana and enroute home stopped at the various places of church historical his-torical interest including Nau-voo, Nau-voo, 111. They, also visited a number of egg dealers enroute. In some places the roads were being cleared from heavy snow which had drifted in some places to 10 feet. They traveled travel-ed in a DC-4 east from Salt Lake and it was their first experience in a larger plane. Mr. & Mrs. Woodrow Weight accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Weight motored to Centervijle Friday evening where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Randall ' and family. Mrs. Victor Phillips spent the past several days in Logan visiting her daughter Barbara who is enrolled as a junior at the USU. She was out of school for a few days following a tonsilectomy. Mi'. and Mrs. James C. "Charlie" Owens, Jr., of Port Orchard, Wash., visited in Springville last week with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Boyer and family and other friends. They also spent some time with their son who is enrolled at the BYTJ and his wife and baby. "Charlie" will be remembered by a number of Springville people as the little Indian boy whom the late John S. Boyer brought from the mission field jn Montana. He lived with the Boyers and attended school here three years two at the Jefferson and one in the old Washington. He still calls 'Edward 'Ed-ward his brother. Both Charlie Char-lie and his wife are retired from Civil Service. They enjoyed en-joyed looking over Springville and Charlie remarked that while the city seemed to be growing toward the east and south, Main street looked just the same as when he was here as a boy. |
