Sunday shej was the honored guest at a family dinner at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Clegg of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Jensen and family were weekend visitors visi-tors in Mapleton. They were guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Fay Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford Fullmer. Mrs. ElmeY Larson has been released as counselor in the Mapleton Ward Primary and will be replaced by Mrs. Golda Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Larson and their family have purchased pur-chased a farm in Jerome, Idaho and are moving there to make their home. The newly organized Mapleton Maple-ton . Firemen held their first ball Saturday evening in Memorial Me-morial Hall. Dancing to an orchestra began at nine o'clock. Proceeds from this dance will be used to purchase equipment. Guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davies are their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Haymond and family of Idaho Falls. They plan to spend several sev-eral clays. Mrs. Juan Whiting has been appointed chairman of the Cancer Can-cer drice in Mapleton which is being conducted this week. A house to house canvass is being be-ing made by volunteer helpers. The Laurel class of the Mapleton Second ward held a cake and candy sale after Mutual Mu-tual Monday. Funds will be used to finance their group. A ward maintenance banquet is being held in the Mapleton ward recreation hall tonight commencing at seven o'clock to which all ward members are cordially invited. Each member is asked to bring his own dishes. Four Mapleton singers participated par-ticipated in the Music Festival in . Salt Lake City Saturday evening. Mrs. Fay Jensen and Mrs. Douglas Bills of the Musettes Mu-settes of Springville and La-vere La-vere Tippetts and Preston Hooper from the Mendelssohn Chorus were among the list. Mrs. Tippetts and Mrs. Hooper accompanied their husbands. Leonard Wiscombe and his sister Sadie Wiscombe of Salt Lake City were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Wiscombe and family. fam-ily. Hiking and a picnic lunch were enjoyed by several members mem-bers of the Freeman C. Bird family Saturday. Participating were Mr. and Mrs. 1 Stewart Whiting and family, Mr. and Mrs. Chase Allred and family of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bradford and family of Pleasant Plea-sant Grove and Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Robertson and family of Cody, Wyo. Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Martha Houtz were her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parry and family fam-ily of Layton and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Johnson and two children chil-dren of Stockton, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Ferral Ogilvie enjoyed a visit from her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jones of Salt Lake City. It was graduation night for the Teacher Trainer Class in the Mapleton Second ward Sunday Sun-day evening with class leader Mrs. Ferral Ogilvie in charge. Among the graduates were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Reiske, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Wentz, Mrs. Sallie Potes, Mrs. Jay Morgan, Mrs. Everett Miller, Mrs. Kelly Johnson, Mrs. Hugh Hjorth, Mrs. David Fullmer, Mrs. Everett Eve-rett Bennett, Mrs. Ferral Ogilvie, Ogil-vie, Miss Carol Lindsay, Miss Kathleen Lee, Miss Suzanne Hjorth, Miss Gay Bennett and Miss Janette Ogilvie. New residents in Mapleton are Mr. and Mrs. Blake Mur-dock, Mur-dock, formerly of Orem, who are living in the Charles Barney Bar-ney home; Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wen-dell Dangerfield and family who have moved into the Frank Sanford home. Edwin Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson, suffered suf-fered a broken arm Thursday while high jumping at his home. The Mapleton ward Primary honored Mrs. Ruth Larson at a social Thursday. Mrs. Larson and family are moving to Ida., to make their home.
