Show Junli- - f THE SPRINGVILLE (UTAH) HERALD Page Seven Jletter$ to tlie Editor She's done it again! That power-packe- d leter-writin- g ma-ma of Springville has done it again! This time, with striking influence! On a Wed. morning, come sun-u- p, this word-lade- n mama went to work with more than just words this time, and came up with a convincing demon-stration of ax swinging that will bring death to more of Springville's beautiful old trees. No, she wasn't hired by the city or state road crew (ac-cording to confirmation) but assumed the ax swinging re-sponsibility herself on public property just as has been the case when public property was dessicrated with rather attrac-tive penmanship but civic and denominational tongue lashings. Thie word-scatteri-individual has not been quelled by city authority or the law, both of whom seem to cringe into oblivion when these escapades by the perpitrator are called to their attention as law-breaki- acts. Isn't there any solution.. An observer of the word and deed. former Resident on I960 White House Conference Margaret McPherson m daughter of Mrs. Flora Uerson of this city has L appointed a member of Governor's White House inference committee on chil dren and youth, it was this learned week. A resident of Bountiful who has specialized in welfare work, Mrs. Keller served on the 1950 White House Conference. Utah has now organized its committee to study in preparation for the golden anniversary, White House conference to be held in Washington D.C. in March 1960. Mrs. Keller has also been chosen to go to Ann Arbor, Mich., next week with Presi-dent Belle Spafford of the Re-lief Society board at the in-vitation of the TJ. S. Public' Health board, to attend a con-ference on the aging. The Keller's daughter Kaye, graduated with honors from Bountiful high school this spring and has been offered Scholarships to the University of Utah and the BYU, accord-ing to word received here.
