Fishing Returns LEGAL NOTICE Reported Good A record number of anglers enjoyed generally good fishing returns throughout the state during the first weekend of the 1959 general season. Reports to department of fish and game offices from field personnel, resort operators and individuals alike were sum-marized from all sections of the state in the words "most everyone caught fish, with many limits being taken." As predicted earlier, the "old favorites" sustained the heav-ier loads of angling pressure last Saturday and Sunday. These larger stillwaters, from Panquitch Lake in the south to Hyrum Reservoir on the north, produced from fair to excellent catches. Mid-seaso- n type weather and water were the rule everywhere except in the High Uinta mountains above the 9,000 foot level. Back country lakes in this section are expected to be accessible and ice free within a few days if the present warm weather continues. The department said contin-uation of the present low wa-ter table forecasts a reduction in the number of small streams and lakes which can be planted as the season goes along. Many of these are already at dan-gerously low levels and will not be stocked as is usual under normal water conditions. Spokesmen said this means that more and more anglers will have to move to the larger waters as the season progres-ses. Creel returns from these larger waters should remain high as they will receive heav- - ier plants of the hatchery rais-ed fish during this low water year. The 188 day general season will continue until November 30. NOTICE TO CREDITORS In the matter of the estate of Bert Taylor, deceased. Creditors will present claims with the vouchers to the un-dersigned by leaving with his attorneys, Sumsion and Sum-sio- n, in the Springville Bank Building, Springville, Utah, on or before the 6th day of Aug-ust, 1959. Fred Taylor, Administrator. Sumsion and Sumsion, Attorneys for Administrator. Published in the Springville Herald June 4, 11, 18 and 25, 1959. Any Lone Scouts? Get in Touch During the years, 1915 to 1924 hundreds of boys from Utah joined the Lone Scouts of America. After this group was incorporated into the Boy Scouts of America many of these boys lost touch with their fellow members. However, through the years a small alumni group has car-ried on, keeping the spirit of Lone Scouting alive in memory. This group, known as the Legion is holding a convention in Kanab, Utah on August 26, 27 and 28, 1959 and ie anxious to get in touch with all former Lone Scouts. Anyone interested write, Chris Jensen, 1414 McClelland Street, Salt Lake City 5, Utah, General Chairman for the Utah Convention.
