Show Funeral Services Held Wednesday For Ferron Hales Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday, in the Fourth-Tenth ward chapel for Ferron Hales, 51, well-known auto mechanic, who died unexpectedly un-expectedly of aheart attack, at his home, 311 East First No., Saturday afternoon. . Bishop Verl Whiting of the Fourth ward, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, directed by Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Hales was ; born Oct. 21, 1908 in Schofield, Carbon county, coun-ty, a son of : Charles Harmon and Eva May Burgess Hales. The early part of his life was spent in Carbon and Duchesne counties, where he received his schooling". . He married Marguerite Ruff on April 5, 1934 in Salt Lake City and the marriage was later la-ter solemnized in the Salt Lake LD3 Temple. For a time they made their home in Salt Lake city and Ugden, and lo years ago moved to Springville, where they have since resided. Mr. Hales had worked as a mechanic all his life, and at the time of his death was employed em-ployed as foreman of the body and fender shop at A. L. Duc-kett Duc-kett Co. in Provo. An active member of the LDS church, he was second counselor in the Fourth ward Elders Quorum at the time of his death. He had also served as scoutmaster for five years, and had worked as cub master in the Springville Stake for a time. He was a member of the ward genealogical committee, and was also affiliated with the Springville Lions Club. Surviving are his widow and four sons, Blaine F., Lynn, Marvin, and Rodger, all of Springville; one brother and two sisters, C. E. Hales of American Fork, Mrs. Leona Conrad of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Vera Quilter of Salt Lake City. I |
