Show Springville Men Advanced in A.F. Two Springville area men have been appointed to key positions in a new Utah county unit of the Air Force Reserve. Capt. Harold V. Gividen, Mapleton, has been named commander of Flight "F" of the 9424th Air Reserve Squadron Squad-ron with headquarters in Provo. He previously was commander of the squadron s Flight A. 1st Lt. Monty C. Groesbeck, 171 W. 2nd South, has been appointed ap-pointed instructor for the new unit. He returned to Springville Spring-ville in 1958 after completing a tour of active duty with the Air Force, in which he served as a military post office commander com-mander and officer in charge of an armed forces courier station sta-tion in Okinawa. Lt. Groesbeck, who graduated graduat-ed from Brigham Young University Uni-versity in 1955, is a teacher at Dixon Junior High School in Provo. |
