DESERET GYM WILL HOLD WATER MEET The Deseret gymnasium will hold a swimming carnival December IT. Charles Welsh, director of the swimming department depart-ment of the gym. has arranged a good program. Several members oi" the different dif-ferent gvmnaslum classes and some outsiders out-siders will participate. Women's events will also be on the program. A 440-yard dash, open to all: a sixty-yard sixty-yard handicap, a plunging contest for distance dis-tance and a business men's contest will be Included in the program. .Tohn D. Giles and Richard Smeade, oaptalna of the business men's team, announce that a strong team will be entered in the contest. con-test. In the women's events a fifty-yard open handicap and a diving contest will be the main events. The contests are open to all women amateur swimmers in the state.
