Until Un-til today Ohio State had never been de-Jeated de-Jeated with Harley playing. Illinois drew first blood in the first period, when Sternaman made a sensational sensa-tional run of fifty yards for a touchdown. Ohio State countered in the third period, pe-riod, when Harley made a touchdown and kicked goal, gaining a lead of one point over the mini. Just prior to the end of the game Bob Fletcher of Illinois Illi-nois kicked a beautiful field goal, making mak-ing the score 9 to 7 and losing to Ohio -State the undisputed championship.
